Project and Operations Manager

£22k – £26k based on experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning digital product development team, based in the beautiful city of Bath.

If making a plan go off without a hitch is the kind of thing you thrive on; if you have an innate ability to charm and to get the best from people; if you want to work in a stimulating, creative and fun environment with a small but super bright team, then this may be the role for you.

The role is a blend of a project management (80%) and operations management (20%).

As project manager, you will be the primary point of contact for all of Storm’s clients. You will be responsible for the planning, running and delivery of all projects undertaken by the team. This means you’ll need to be confident in liaising between our wide variety of fantastic clients and our internal creative and development teams on a range of technical projects.

Within the operations role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of office life. This part of the role is made up of many tasks including (but not limited to!) keeping on top of our time tracking analytics, invoicing clients & collating expenses, organising team social events and helping us to keep the Storm office a fun place to work.

There will be an opportunity to get involved in the more practical side of our business where you will assist in administering user experience testing and basic training to our clients. You will also have the opportunity to learn to code – should you wish to!

You must:

  • Be very personable, friendly and confident. You’ll be the primary point of contact for the majority of clients!
  • Be tech savvy. We don’t need you to know how to code, but tech will quickly become your first language whilst at work.
  • Be quick to grasp concepts. We work with an eclectic mix of startup and established businesses from a variety of backgrounds and industries. Being able to quickly understand and appreciate a client’s needs is critical.
  • Have excellent written and spoken English. We’re looking for email eloquence and grammatical greatness.
  • Be confident in your ability to manage teams of developers and designers.

Desirable:

  • Previous project management experience
(not essential, but if you don’t have any, we’ll be asking you about similar experience e.g. events organisation)
  • Experience in the web / tech sector
(again -not essential, but if you don’t have any we’ll want to understand your level of tech competence at interview)
  • A degree

Perks:

  • Highly competitive salary (starting at £22 – £26k depending on experience)
  • 4.5 day week (for a full salary) – we don’t work Friday afternoons
  • Unlimited holiday policy
  • A MacBook pro, cinema display and an assortment of other Apple goodies to work from
  • Flexible working
  • Opportunities to attend relevant events and conferences, as well as other training
  • Annual company team holiday (no work, just fun)
  • A variety of team social events
